1.1 Discuss with examples how a teacher can engage with texts critically when
writing assignments or preparing notes.

1. Analyzing the Content:

A teacher must carefully analyze the content to identify the main ideas and
supporting details. For instance, when reading an academic article, the teacher can
break down the arguments presented by the author and determine the evidence
used to support these arguments.
While reading a chapter on literary criticism, a teacher might note how the author
uses textual evidence to support a specific interpretation of a novel and then decide
which examples are most compelling to include in their notes or assignments.
