Question 1: Campaign Organisations and Pressure Groups [10 Marks]

Based on your understanding of what are campaigning organisation and pressure groups, identify FIVE organisations which participated in
the 30 June 2026 Nationwide Protest against illegal immigration in South Africa and categorise them as either campaigning organisation or
pressure group based on their mandate: You will have to conduct additional research to understand the mandate of each organisation to
categorise it appropriately.

Question 2: Public Relations Plan for the South African Human Rights Council on anti-Xenophobic Campaign

The South African Human Rights Council (SAHRC) has approached your agency to assist in developing a PR plan to help create
awareness about Xenophobia in South Africa. Your Plan must consist of the following:

2.1 Research: Provide detailed research in two paragraphs with the nature of xenophobic attacks, misconceptions, triggers, reports,
hotspot areas in South Africa. Strategies that are being implemented by different organisations to lower xenophobic attacks in SA. You
must cite credible sources used to gather the information. Your research should also include information about preventative measures of
xenophobia. [7 Marks]

2.2 Objectives: Identify two communication related objectives of your PR plan in line with the overall aim of developing this plan. [4 Marks]

2.3 Programming: Develop an Action Plan to Implementation the PR plan. The Action plan should include the PR strategies you will use to
implement the Anti-Xenophobia Awareness Campaign. Use the table below as guidance. You must have minimum of Five different PR
strategies. [10 Marks]
