In your own words, explain what the main information in the CAPS document is
about.

The CAPS document (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) outlines what
must be taught and assessed in South African schools from Grades R to 12. It aims to

assessment standards to be followed. The document ensures that all learners,
regardless of their background or abilities, receive quality education. It promotes
