Design a class test and a memorandum for the following topic: Grade 9: Financial Literacy: Cash Receipts Journal of a Sole Trader. The assessment must be aligned to the range of cognitive levels (pages 9 and 10 of the Amended CAPS for EMS Senior Phase) based on Blooms taxonomy and content described in the GET Amended CAPS. The class test must have at least three questions and must count between 30 and 50 marks. (30) Consider the following when you design your class test: o Distribution of Bloom’s Taxonomy levels: Ensure a balanced distribution of questions across various cognitive levels (Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analysing, Evaluating, and Creating). o Question format: Include a variety of question types such as multiple-choice questions, short answer questions and problem solving questions. o Bloom’s Taxonomy verbs: Use appropriate Bloom’s Taxonomy verbs to indicate the cognitive level of each question. Hint: This assessment must reflect a real classroom test. Be sure to leave appropriate spaces for learners’ information, and have clear instructions and mark allocations based on the level at which you are assessing the learners. The memorandum must be clear and easy to follow for other markers. 2. Write a reflective statement (approximately 200 to 300 words) that discusses the assessment you presented in your answer to question 1 above. (8) Use the following points to structure your discussion: a) Rationale: Explain your rationale for choosing a variety of Bloom’s Taxonomy levels and verbs for each question. (4) b) Challenges: Reflect on any challenges faced during the design process and how you addressed them. (2) c) Improvements: Identify potential improvements or modifications you would consider for future assessments based on this experience. (2)
