(a) Thulani’s four basic psychological needs, as conceptualized by Grawe (2007), were compromised and/or supported as follows:
1. Need for Attachment: Thulani experienced compromised attachment needs as he had to leave his family behind in search of employment. This separation caused him distress and anxiety.
