Read the extract below, then answer the questions:

Learner assessments are important so that teachers know how much learners understand from their daily teachings. First, the teacher sets out the learning objectives for each lesson. The teacher will know whether the objectives have been achieved by giving learners daily class activities which will be assessed before the end of the lesson. Once the objectives have been achieved, the teacher can measure if and how her/his students have performed.
