Question 1: Visual Arts Activity Design Read the following statement Many South African schools lack the necessary resources to effectively teach Creative Arts, which limits learners’ creative development and access to holistic education. However, the CAPS curriculum emphasises environmental awareness and encourages the use of recycled materials. Teachers can promote sustainability and creativity by collecting used cereal boxes, tins and cardboard. Placing a recycling box in the Creative Arts classroom provides learners with accessible materials to transform into creative products, turning a challenge into an opportunity for innovation. 1. Design a 30-minute Visual Arts activity for Grade 5 learners. Your task is to plan and describe a creative, engaging and suitable activity for a classroom with limited resources. Answer all the following sub-questions clearly and in full sentences: 1.1. Describe your Visual Arts activity. Include what learners will do, what they will learn and how the activity fits into a 30-minute lesson. 1.2.
