Contextual Paragraph: 1. Explain the historical context of your historical question—what historical events, movements, or debates made this question important? 2. Provide a brief narrative of the event or issue in question. Supporting Paragraph: 1. Introduce the strongest reason that supports your argument. 2. Select a quotation or another piece of evidence that supports your argument and state its source. 3. Explain how the quotation or evidence strengthens your argument. 4. Evaluate the reliability of the author, the influence of historical context, and/or the quality of the author’s facts and examples.
