Your most important source of reference when it comes to vocabulary building is a dictionary. Most of us already have a dictionary in our pockets in the form of our mobile phones. you can easily download a Dictionary Application (app) to your mobile phone w h i c h makes it much more accessibble practical than a big and heavy hard copy of a dictionary. Examples of popular dictionary apps are the oxford English dictionary and The Free Dictionary by Farlex. Alternatively, buy a bocket dictionary and get into the habit of referring to it regularly for definitions, correct spelling, alternative meanings, and typical phrases. Some dictionaries also supply a list of synonyms. A good dictionary will also include a list of synonyms and antonyms for words, but you can also invest in a separate Reference book called a thesaurus if you regularly find yourself searching for synonyms or antonyms.
