1. The narrator of the story is nicknamed “Rock.” Discuss her character by focusing on the significance of this name, and how Danisile’s return influences her personal growth and sense of identity. Support your answer with direct quotations and evidence from the story. (10)
2. The three main elements found in short stories are conflict, climax and resolution. The conflict in the story can be seen as Zibusiso’s deep sense of loneliness and invisibility, as a young disabled girl who feels ignored and overlooked by those around her. Discuss the climax and resolution of the plot. Support your answer with direct quotations and evidence from the story. (10)
